They have their own BSSIDs because they wouldn't work otherwise. The MLME (and that name for it) is specified in the IEEE 802.11 standard. ![]() ![]() The MLME (MAC Layer Managing Entity) is the logical controller of the 802.11 MAC it can be either hardware or software, and in fact in our case it's composed of hardware, firmware and software.
